Egyptian culture is rich in tattoo art. The first discovery of a tattooed mummy was a high priestess to the goddess Hathor. Her name was Amunet and she lived around 2150 B.C. She was adorned with geometric patterns of dots and dashes over large areas of her body. Tattoos at that time were done almost exclusively on women of the elite upper class. It was not until around 1500 B.C. that it was expanded to men. In modern Egypt tattoos are common in all classes of society.
At "Over The Edge Tattoos" we are continuing the tradition of fine art on modern generations. A clean shop, auto clave sterilization and friendly artist will make your tattoo a safe, enjoyable experience.
